- Abstract
- This study is aimed to identify the dissolution and the reconstitution of the contemporary architectural design through the heterogeneity. And to classify the meaning of the heterogeneity in the humanistic history and the architectural history. The concept of the heterogeneous nature have effects on the architectural styles, ideologies(isms) and paradigms to appear the contemporary architectural conditions and design strategies. As a result, there appear the dissolution and the reconstitution of the sameness and the design process, multiple hybridizations of design expressions, and the defamiliarization of experiential senses. These phenomenon show the transitions from euclidean geometrical form to typological and non-linear form, from decisive space to the interactive space of uncertainty, and from the physical body to the networked sensuous body. As a conclusion, the diversity and the heterogeneity of contemporary architectural designs made the chances to dissolute the absolute valuation basis. So, contemporary architects work on the autonomous processes of their own concepts and strategies. And they are evaluated by their own circulative design processes. Contemporary architects achieved the possibility and the liberty of art through the technological advances, material researches, and various design tools based on the heterogeneity.
