아동 그림책에 있어서 색채 표현 방법과 의미전달 역할에 관한 연구

Abstract

인쇄기술의 발달과 더불어 그림책의 다양한 표현들이 가능해지고 그림의 역할이 커지고 있는 추세이다. 이러한 흐름에 따라서 많은 그림책 창작자들은 그림의 의미전달을 다양한 방법으로 시도하고 있다. 인지와 감각이 발달하기 시작하는 아동에게 그림은 지대한 영향을 미치게 되며 특히 형태감각보다 색채감각이 먼저 발달하기 때문에 색채가 아동발달에 미치는 영향은 광범위하다. 그림책에서 색채는 아동의 지적 발달 기능과 정서적 발달 기능을 위해 신중히 선택되어야 하며 창작자와 독자인 아동과의 중요한 의사소통 역할을 한다. 본 연구는 그림책에서 색채가 가지고 있는 시각적 힘과 상징 그리고 그림책 창작자의 의도에 따른 심리적인 의미전달을 분석하여 색채가 가지고 있는 의미전달 역할에 대하여 연구하였다. 그 결과 확장되는 그림책 영역의 시각적 색채 표현 방법을 이해하고 그림책 매체를 이용한 아동과의 의사소통을 위한 색채 표현에 대한 체계적인 정보를 제공하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 색채 표현을 이용한 스토리 전개와 감정이입을 위한 상징적이며 심리적인 의미전달을 아동 그림책 사례분석을 통해 연구하였다. 본 연구를 통해 그림책의 색채의 의미전달 역할의 다양함과 영향력을 이해하고 발전시키는 자료를 제공하며 풍부한 색채의 의미전달로 독자인 아동의 인지적 감성적 발달에 중요한 매체역할을 기대할 수 있었다.

Various kinds of presentations are becoming available and it is the trend that the roles of colorful picture books are growing more and more with the development of printing technologies. Creators of the many picture books are trying to convey the meaning of the pictures by various ways in accordance with this trend. Pictures influence significantly children for developing knowledge and sense and the impact of the colors for children's development is extensive because the sense of color is developed first more than that of formation. Colors in picture books should be carefully chosen to develop children's intellectual and emotional development and also they should play an important role in communication between creators and children. The roles of conveying meanings that colors have is researched by analyzing conveying meaning psychologically according to visual power and symbol that colors have on the picture books and intension of the creators in the picture books. The goal of this study is to help understand the ways to present visual colors in the expanding areas of picture books and to provide systematic information about describing colors by using the media for picture books for communicating with children. The story development by using describing colors and conveying symbolic and mental meanings for empathy were studied through the analysis of children's picture book stories. The important media could be expected for children's cognitive and emotional development by understanding the various impact of the roles conveying meanings in the colorful books and providing data to develop colors through this study.
