- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between eating disorder and depression in ballet major female university students. 113 ballet major female university students were participated in this study. In order to find out the relationship between eating disorder and depression, Garner(2004)'s "Eating Disorder Inventory-3" and Beck, Steer, & Brown(1996)'s "Beck Depression Inventory-II" questionnaire were used for collecting data. Statistical analysis in descriptive data, reliability, factor analysis, correlation coefficient and simple linear regression were performed using by PASW(ver. 18.0). The significant level was set at p<.05. The results were as followed. First, interoceptive awareness factor of eating disorder were correlated with cognitive symptom factor(r=-.232) and emotional symptom factor(r=-.272) of depression (p<.05). Second, interpersonal distrust factor of eating disorder were correlated with physiological symptom factor(rr=.195) of depression(p<.05).
