유아 개인변인, 가구변인, 교사변인에 따른 취학 전 유아의 사회적 유능감 연구

Abstract

본 연구에서는 유아를 둘러싸고 있는 환경 중 유아의 사회적 유능감에 영향을 미치는 요인이 무엇인지를 알아보고자하였다. 본 연구를 통해 유아의 사회적 유능감에 영향을 미치는 변인들을 밝혀낸 결과들은 유아의 사회적 유능감을높이기 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 한국육아정책연구소가 2008년부터 구축하고 있는 한국아동패널 7차년도(2014)자료를 사용하였으며, 최종 연구대상은 취학전 유아 857명이다. 유아의 사회적 유능감에 영향을미치는 요인을 유아 개인 변인, 가구변인, 교사변인으로 구분하고, 각 변인을 순차적으로 투입하는 위계적 회귀분석을실시하였다. 연구결과를 연구문제에 따라 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아의 사회적 유능감에 영향을 미치는 요인을살펴본 결과 유아개인 변인 중에는 성별만이 영향을 미쳤으며, 가구변인은 모두 유아의 사회적 유능감에 영향을미치지 않는 것으로 나타났으며, 교사변인 중에서는 교사-유아상호작용과 교수 효능감이 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로나타났다. 둘째, 유아의 사회적 유능감 하위요인 중 협력성에는 유아개인변인 중 성별, 전자기기놀이 일수가 유의한영향을 미쳤으며, 가구요인은 모두 유의한 영향을 미치지 못했다. 교사변인 중 교사-유아 상호작용과 교수효능감이유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 유아의 사회적 유능감 하위요인 중 주장성에는 유아개인변인 모두가 유의한영향을 미치지 못했으며, 가구변인 중에는 모학력만이 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 교사변인 중 교사-유아상호작용과 교수효능감이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 유아의 사회적 유능감 하위요인 중 자기통제성에는개인변인 중 성별만인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 가구변인은 모두 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났으며, 교사변인 중 교수 효능감만이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 사회적 유능감에 영향을 미치는 변인들을알아냄으로써 유아의 사회적 유능감 향상에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of the study was to examine the factors affecting children’s social competence before they enter an elementary school. To achieve this, the study used 857 children from the Panel Study on Korean Children and we utilized regression analysis. The results were as follows. First, the only factor affecting preschool children’s social competence was the gender and girls’ social competence was higher compared to boys. In addition, among family factors, there were no factors to affect preschoolers’ social competence. Among teacher’s factors, teacher-child interaction and teacher’s teaching efficacy were statistically significant to preschoolers’ social competence. Second, children’s cooperation skills were related to gender and children’s playing time with media except all other variables. However, teacher-child interactions and teacher’s teaching efficacy affected children’s social competence. For children’s assertiveness was only related to parents’ educational levels. Third, children’s self-control was related to children’s gender and teacher’s teaching efficacy among other variables.
