단성학교로의 자기선택과 학업성취도 효과

Abstract

본 연구는 학생의 고등학교 선택 내역을 고려하여 고등학교 배정이 실시된 2010학년도 서울 고교선택제를 활용하여 단성학교로의 자기선택과 단성학교 재학의 학업성취도 효과를 분석하였다. 본인이 지원한 학교로 배정된 학생들의 경우 단성학교 재학과 학업성취도 사이에 양의 상관관계가 관찰되었다. 반면, 본인이 지원하지 않은 학교로 배정된 학생들의 경우 단성학교 재학과 학업성취도 사이에 유의한 상관관계가 관찰되지 않았다. 이는 사전적 학업능력이 높은 학생들이 단성학교를 선호하는 경향이 존재하고, 이러한 자기선택 문제를 적절히 통제하지 못할 경우, 단성학교 재학의 학업성취도 효과가 과대평가 될 수 있음을 시사한다.

This study aims to identify and determine the effects of individual and organizational factors on public sector employees’ perceptions of accountability dilemma. The research findings show that the motive to achieve in the public sector reduces the extent to which a public sector employee perceives an accountability dilemma, whereas the organizational collectivism increases the likelihood of perception of accountability dilemma. In contrast to the theoretical assumptions, most of the public sector employees are less likely to perceive an accountability dilemma. However, the research results indicate the likelihood that a public sector employee perceives an accountability dilemma is influenced by proactive personality and psychological safety. The theoretical and practical implications of findings are delineated with respect to dilemma perception.
