S여자농구팀의 챔프전 우승의 원동력에 관한 근거이론적 접근

Abstract

이 연구의 목적은 S여자농구팀이 단기간에 어떻게 우승했는가에 대한 챔프전 우승의 원동력을 근거이론적 방법을 이용하여 밝히고자 한다. 연구참여자는 한국여자 프로농구에 소속된 S여자농구팀 감독 1명, 코치 1명, 선수 7명, 총 9명을 대상으로 심층 면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 Strauss와 Corbin에 의해 제시된 개방코딩, 축코딩, 선택코딩을 활용하여 분석하였고 추출된 패러다임 모형을 완성하고 이야기 윤곽을 통해 핵심범주를 추출하였다. 이 연구에서는 자료분석을 통해서 상위범주 16개, 하위범주 34 개, 285개 개념이 도출되었다. 축코딩 결과, 인과적 조건은 플레이오프 진출이었고 맥락적 조건은 강팀에 대한 부담/두려움, 동기유발, 자기관리, 책임감, 생각하는 자율플레이 등으로 나타났다. 중심현상은 우승에 대한 열망 및 간절함이었고, 중재조건은 자신감, 긍정적태도, 철저한 시합준비 등으로 나타났다. 작용/상호작용은 빛나는 감독의 리더십, 팀응집력, 활발한 의사소통, 마음비우고 경기집중수정 등이었고 결과는 챔프전 우승과 미래에 대한 도전 및 기대 등으로 나타났다. 이 연구를 통해 농구와 같은 팀종목이 어떻게 상호작용하여 좋은 성적을 거두었는가에 대한 구체적인 논의가 이루어졌다.

A grounded theory approach was used to investigate the factors that led S.L.B to win the 2020-2021 WKBL finals. Data were collected by in-depth interviews with nine participants including the head coach, the assistant coach, and seven players of the team in the Women’s Korean Basketball League(WKBL). Data were analyzed by open coding, axial coding, and selective coding proposed by Strauss and Corbin to establish a paradigm. In addition, the core category was provided based on a story outline. In result, sixteen upper categories and thirty-four lower categories were found from the data analysis. By axial coding, the advance to the WKBL finals was identified as the causal condition, and the contextual conditions included fear of strong teams, motivation, self-management, responsibility and autonomous playing. The central phenomenon was the desire and eagerness to win, and the intervening conditions were confidence, positive attitude, and thorough preparation for the games. The interaction strategy included the head coach’s leadership, team cohesion, active communication, and high concentration. The outcomes were the win in the championship as well as challenges and expectations for the future. In this study, detailed discussions are made on how interactions in team sports like basketball can lead to great performances.
