보육교직원 관점에서 본 어린이집 이용 부모의 역할과 책임

Abstract

연구목적: 본 연구는 부모 역할 역시 사회적으로 구성된다는 견지에서 어린이집 이용 부모의 역할과 책임에 대해 모색해보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 보육교직원의 관점에서 어린이집 이용 부모의 역할과 책임에 대한 경험과 인식, 요구내용을 구체적으로 살펴보았다. 방법: 본 연구에서는 연구목적에 따라 선행연구 및 어린이집 원장, 교사 FGI를 통해 설문지를 개발하여 교사 299명, 원장 151명 총 450명의 의견을 온라인 설문조사 방식으로 수집하였다. 수집한 데이터는 SPSS 23.0을 사용하여 분석하였다. 결과: 대다수의 보육교직원은 어린이집 이용 부모의 역할과 책임 관련 어려움을 겪은 경험이 있으며 이를 직무스트레스로 느끼고, 발생한 상황에 대해 체계적으로 대처하지 못하고 있었다. 보육교직원의 관점에서 어린이집 이용 부모의 위상은 무상보육, 어린이집 평가 등 제도적 측면에서 높아졌으며 부모가 자신의 역할과 책임을 이행하는 것이 더 필요하다고 보았다. 보육교직원은 어린이집 이용 부모의 역할과 책임 이행을 촉구하기 위한 가장 실효성 높은 방안으로 정부 및 국가기관에서 관련 규정 및 세부지침 마련을 들었다. 결론: 부모와 보육교직원이 상호 역할과 책임에 대한 분명한 인식을 바탕으로 공동 협력자로 자리매김할 수 있도록 관련 규정 및 지침마련 등의 사회적 합의를 도출하는 실천적 노력이 요구된다. 이는 부모의 역할과 책임을 재정립하는 사회적 노력의 일환으로 영유아의 건강한 성장을 지원하며 행복을 추구할 수 있는 권리를 보장하는 방향이 될 것이다.

Objectives: This study focused on the current situation where there are changes in the role of parents and the difficulties caused by the current situation because parents and childcare staff have different role expectations. Therefore, this study examined the perceptions and experiences of parental roles and responsibilities from the perspective of childcare staff and examined the demand for related regulations. Methods: In this study, a 45-question questionnaire was constructed based on previous studies and FGI results, and the responses from 151 daycare center directors and 299 childcare teachers were collected and analyzed using SPSS 23.0. Results: Childcare staff generally recognized that there were many aspects in which parents were unable to distinguish the boundaries between the role of the childcare staff and their responsibilities. The childcare center staff felt this experience as job stress but complained it caused difficulty because there was no systematic coping plan. Therefore, it was said that it was necessary for public institutions such as the government to prepare guidelines. Conclusions: The results of this study imply that there is a need for a system in which daycare staff and parents can clearly recognize their mutual roles and responsibilities as joint partners.
