어머니의 양육태도와 유머감각이 유아의 틀린 믿음 이해에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 어머니의 양육태도와 유머감각, 자녀의 틀린 믿음 이해의 관계를 살펴보고, 어머니의 양육태도와 유머감각이 유아의 틀린 믿음 이해에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 만 3, 4, 5세 유아와 어머니 135쌍을 연구대상으로 선정하여 어머니의 양육태도(MBRI)와 유머감각(SHQ)을 질문지를 통해 조사하였고, 각 유아별로 틀린 믿음 이해 과제와 언어능력검사(PRES)를 실시하여 유아의 틀린 믿음 이해 능력과 언어능력을 측정하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0을 이용하여 편 상관관계와 위계적 중다회귀분석을 실시하였으며 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저 어머니의 긍정적 양육태도와 유머감각은 정적인 관련이 있었다. 그리고 유아의 연령 및 언어능력을 통제한 후에도 어머니의 유머정서 표현은 자녀의 틀린 믿음 이해에 유의한 요인으로 나타났다. 이와 비교하여 어머니의 양육태도와 틀린 믿음 이해와의 관련성은 나타나지 않았다. 이 연구를 통해 어머니의 긍정적 양육태도와 유머감각이 유관하며, 자녀의 사회인지 발달에 부모가 긍정적인 정서를 표현하는 유머와 같은 구체적인 상호작용의 특정 맥락이 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 점을 알 수 있다.

This study investigated the relationship between a mother's parenting attitude, a sense of humor, and a child's understanding of false beliefs. 135 mothers and their 3 to 5 year old children participated. A task for understanding false beliefs and PRES were conducted for each child, and the mother's parenting attitude and sense of humor were surveyed through a Maternal Behavior Research Instrument(MBRI) and Sense of Humor Questionnaire(SHQ). MBRI measured four aspects of parenting attitude focusing on affective, receptive, independent, extrovertive. SHQ measured three aspects of humor sense on meta-message humor sensitivity, liking of humor, emotional humor expressiveness. The collected data were analyzed with Pearson’s correlation and multiple regression using SPSS 21.0 program. The major findings are as follows. The mother's positive parenting attitude and sense of humor emotion were positively related. And even after controlling the children’s age and language ability, the expression of the mother's humor was found to have a significant influence on the child's understanding of false beliefs. These results provide support for associations between parent–child interactions and early social-cognitive development.
