웹2.0에 기반한 학습자 u-멘토링 관리시스템에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구에서는 웹 2.0의 개념을 e-러닝 시스템에 적용하여 학습자 중심으로 멘토링 수업을 계획하고 운영하기 위하여 멘토링 그룹의 생성과 관리, 평가 과정을 자동화하기 위한 u-멘토링 관리 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 멘토링 그룹의 주제 선정, 멘티 구성, 멘토 선정시 공급자인 교수자 중심의 진행이 아니라 수요자인 학생 중심으로 진행할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 제안하는 u-멘토링 관리 시스템은 멘토링 수업 외에도 전공교과목의 스터디 그룹, 리더십 교육과정과 같은 다양한 분야에 적용할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 또한 현재 모집중이거나 진행중인 전체 멘토링 그룹의 활동 상황을 한눈에 파악하여 자신이 원하는 적합한 그룹을 선택할 수 있으며 멘토링 그룹간의 선의의 경쟁을 유발시켜 학습 향상 효과를 기대할 수 있다. 다른 그룹들의 진행 상황들을 확인하면서 현재 참여하고 있는 멘토 그룹 모임 새로운 학습 방법을 모색하는데 직간접적인 도움을 받을 수 있다. 멘토링 그룹에 참여한 학습자는 멘토 수업에 대하여 그룹평가와 멘티에 대한 개별평가를 수행하고, 평가 결과는 개인별 포인트로 변환되어 데이터베이스에 저장된다. 개인별 포인트 점수는 향후 멘토링 그룹을 생성하거나 그룹에 참여할 때 기초 자료로 활용되어 등급별 멘토링 수업을 기대할 수 있다. 특히, 본 연구에서 구현한 u-멘토링 관리시스템은 학습자 그룹이 주도적으로 토론하고 문제를 해결해나가는 문제중심학습(PBL) 수업에 효과적으로 활용될 수 있다.

This paper introduces a study of u-mentoring management system to automate creation, management, and evaluation processes of mentoring lectures by combining e-learning system with Web 2.0 concept. The purpose of the study is the support of learner-driven mentoring class when selecting lecture's theme, mentees, and mentors rather than lecturer-drived system. The proposed u-mentoring management system has been designed to be applicable to various kinds of subjects like leadership classes as well as mentoring classes. The system shows the summary of current status of all mentoring classes to drive good competetion among participants and mentoring groups at real-time. In addition, functions to evaluate activities of mentees and mentoring groups are supported and histories of records of participants and classes are stored into the database, and are used for information retrieval by others.
