음악치료 전공생의 실습경험에 관한 현상학적 연구

Abstract

이 연구는 음악치료 전공생들이 음악치료 실습 과정에 참여하면서 어떠한 경험을 하였는지에 대한 실습 경험의 본질을 살펴보고, 이 같은 경험의 본질이 지니는 경험의 의미를 밝히는 것에 목적을 둔다. 연구 참여자로 음악치료 실습 과정 중에 있는 여덟 명의 음악치료 석사 전공생들이 참여하였고, 연구자에 의해 진행된 심층 면담에 의해 마련된 자료를 바탕으로 현상학적 연구 방법 분석을 통해 12개의 하위 구성요소, 그리고 6개의 상위 구성요소들을 도출하였다. 연구 결과, 음악치료 석사 전공생들은 실습 과정을 통해 음악치료 정체성, 학생 음악치료사로서의 태도 및 준비, 내담자와의 관계, 실습기관의 부족한 지지, 슈퍼바이저와의 관계, 실습 경험에 따른 변화 및 성장 등을 의미 있게 경험하고 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 통해 보다 전문적 역량을 갖춘 음악치료사로 성장해가기 위한 음악치료 전공생들의 초기 경험으로서 실습 교육과정의 발전된 지침과 방향을 제공하는 것의 중요성을 확인할 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the nature of the practical experience of students majoring in music therapy who participated in the music therapy practice course and to reveal the meaning of this experience. Eight students in the music therapy master"s program participated in this study, and 12 sub-components and six upper-level components were derived through the phenomenological research method analysis based on data sourced through in-depth interviews conducted by researchers. The results confirmed that students majoring in music therapy had a meaningful experience in music therapy identity, attitude, and preparation as a student music therapist, and in fostering relationships with clients. However, they received insufficient support from the training institution, and growth according to their training experience. These results confirmed the importance of providing advanced guidelines and directions for the practical curriculum to provide an early experience to music therapy students and thus enable them to grow into music therapists with a higher level of professional competence.
