Abstract
(Music-Based Examination of Mental State: MBEMS)를 개발하고 신뢰도와 타당도를 검정하고자 하였다.
This study was conducted as a preliminary study to test the reliability and validity of a Music-Based Examination of Mental State (MBEMS) tool for use on patients with mild cognitive impairment and dementia. MBEMS tests were conducted on 49 patients with mild cognitive impairment and dementia from September 24, 2021 to February 7, 2022. According to the study results, Pearson's correlation coefficient between MBEMS and K-MMSE-2 was .62 and was -.58, suggesting moderate concurrent validity. The score distribution of MBEMS based showed a significant difference. Cronbach's a coefficient was .83 for the reliability of MBEMS, signifying a high level of internal consistency. These results indicate that MBEMS may be applicable for patients with mild cognitive impairment or dementia in Korea.
