u-사회의 역기능과 대응과제 :RFID 도입과 프라이버시 문제를 중심으로

Abstract

기존의 바코드를 대체하여 사회 경제적 가치를 창출할 핵심기술로 주모받고 있는 RFID 기술을 도입하는데 있어 프라이버시문제는 커다란 장애요인으로 작용할 것이다. RFID 도입에 따른 프라이버시 침해문제를 해결하고 RFID 기술을 성공적으로 적용하기 위해서는 정부, 시장, 시민사회가 협력하여 관련문제에 공동으로 대처하고 해결방안을 모색해나갈 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 첫째, RFID 기술과 프라이버시 문제에 대한 인식이 정부, 기업, 시민단체간에 어떤 면에서 차리가 있는지를 분석해 보았다. 들째, 그러한 인식이 RFID 기술의 도입에 대한찬반 입장과 어느 정도의 상관관계를 갖는지를 살펴보았다. 셋째, RFID 도입에 대한 찬반입장과 관련송이 높은 변수를 바탕으로 RFID 기술과 프라이버시문제와 관련된 집단간의 의견 차이를 줄이고 공감대를 형성하여 협력할 수 있는 방안을 모색해 보았다.

The author first looked over whether there exist any differences in the perception of RFID technology adoption among three parties - government, private conpanies, and NGOs. Second, the authors analyzed how these diferences influence on their attitudes to RFID adoption. Finally, this article suggest the alternative ti collaborate with each other in solving privacy problem created by adopting RFID technology.
