- Abstract
- It has been confirmed that there is a connection between hair design and art because surrealistic hair and head dress expression has infinite possibilities. This research has presented hair designs that are suitable to standards of beauty and the times in which trends are changing, The research was based on these topics. The results of this research are as follows: Firstly, surrealistic hair and head dress has been examined by theoretical consideration. This research also took a look at major artists in painting - Max Ernst, Salvador Dali, Joan Miro, and Andre Masson. In relation to the concept and classification of head dress, head vail, toque, helmet, turban, wig and cap have been examined and analyzed. Secondly, the concept and work tendency of surrealistic hair and head dress has been examined, and formative characteristics have been divided into abstractness of shape, difference of material, and fantasy of color by collecting pictures of works through internet data and beauty magazines. Thirdly, based on the analyzed data for the production of works above, 6 works of surrealistic hair and head dress have been produced by classifying the formative characteristics of works into abstractness of shape, difference of material, and fantasy of color. It is hoped that practicable hair design will be created in various works which follows the changes of trends based on this research and that artistic expression of works in the beauty industry will continuously be studied in the future.
