Abstract
This Focusing on the practical subjects of the arts and sports department, this study attempted to create and apply tools or forms to enhance self-directed learning and connect it to evaluation tools to upper-middle-class learners, including those with poor practical basic learning. The research method was used in the first semester of 2023, centering on the Department of Contemporary Art “Western Painting” and the Department of Taekwondo’s “Self-defense Techniques” at D University, and data was collected and analyzed using Spradley's DRS technique in five stages to produce and apply evaluation tools. In the production of the first study, the first basic evaluation tool was produced, from which the problem was corrected and supplemented through a pilot test in order to complete the evaluation tool and in the second, the evaluation tool was applied to the sixth week analysis in preparation to the midterm exam of the first semester. As a result of the second study, the application of the evaluation tool confirmed that there was a question to understand the evaluation tool at the beginning of the class, and that learning was carried out in a team on its own. In the middle of the class, it was confirmed that the class was conducted mainly for colleagues with good practical learning performance skills according to the evaluation items. In the second half of the class, poor practical basic learning performed more repetitively than other colleagues, and learners with good learning performance tried to clarify what they were learning by asking the instructor about the details of the evaluation tool items. After the learning was completed, the learning atmosphere changed depending on who the instructor was, and the evaluation tool usage suggested the necessity to be modified and applied according to the practical learning environment, and it was confirmed the evaluation tool was highly reliable.
