- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of active seniors’golf participation characteristics such as golf participation frequency, interest in golf, and motivation for golf participation on leisure satisfaction and successful aging and to identify leisure satisfaction as a leading variable that effects successful aging. To achieve this research purpose, a survey was conducted, and the results of analyzing the data from a total of 211 people are as follows. First, the golf participation characteristics of active seniors, such as motivation for golf participation, interest in golf, and frequency of golf participation, were found to have a significant effect on leisure satisfaction. Second, among the golf participation characteristics of active seniors, motivation to participate in golf and interest in golf were found to have a significant effect on successful aging, while the frequency of golf participation was found to have no significant effect. Third, the leisure satisfaction of active seniors participating in golf was found to have a significant effect on successful aging. Summarizing the above results, it was found that in order to realize successful aging of active seniors, leisure satisfaction must be improved and the level of interest in and participation motivation in leisure activities must be increased.
