성인들의 죽음수용과 삶의 만족도 간의 관계에서 자기성찰과 의미추구의 매개효과 검증

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 성인들의 죽음수용과 삶의 만족도 간의 관계에서 자기성찰과 의미추구의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 30세 이상 성인 381명을 대상으로, 죽음수용, 자기성찰, 의미추구, 삶의 만족도를 측정하는 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구분석은 SPSS 20.0과 AMOS 22.0 프로그램을 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 기술통계, 상관분석, 구조방정식 모형 검증과 매개효과 검증을 통해 분석하였으며, 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구모형 검증 결과, 측정모형과 구조모형이 모두 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 죽음수용과 삶의 만족도는 직접적으로는 관계가 없었다. 셋째, 죽음수용과 삶의 만족도는 자기성찰과 의미추구를 매개로 하여 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로 살펴보면, 죽음을 수용하는 태도가 높을수록 자기성찰이 높고 의미를 추구함으로써 삶의 만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 후속 연구에 대한 제언을 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to identify and evaluate the model concerning relations among death acceptance and life satisfaction, and the mediators of self-reflection and search for meaning. Data was collected from 381 adults. SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 22.0 program were used for the study analysis. The collected data were analyzed by the mediating effects verification, as well as descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and structural equation model verification. The study findings are as follows. First, results of the study indicated that the hypothesized model fit the data well. Second, death acceptance did not directly affect life satisfaction. Third, death acceptance and life satisfaction were indirectly affected by self-reflection and search for meaning. This study suggests that the death acceptance can play an important role in increasing the self-reflection and the search for meaning, leading to the life satisfaction of adults. At last, implications and limitations of this study, and directions for future research were discussed.
