부모의 교육열이 아동의 학교적응에 미치는 영향: 자아존중감의 매개효과

Abstract

우리나라 부모의 교육열은 아동에게 영향을 미치는 요인으로 여겨지고 있으나 이에 대한 실증연구는 부족한 편이다. 이에 본 연구는 부모의 교육열이 아동의 학교적응에 미치는 영향과 자아존중감의 매개효과를 분석하기 위해서 수행되었다. 이를 위해 한국아동패널 9차 자료를 SPSS 22.0 프로그램으로 분석하였다. 분석 방법으로는 신뢰도 계수 산출, 빈도분석, 기술통계, 상관분석, 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 어머니 교육열, 아버지 교육열은 학교적응과 자아존중감에 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니 교육열 및 아버지의 교육열은 학교적응의 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 부모의 교육열과 아동의 학교적응의 관계에서 아동의 자아존중감이 중요한 매개변인으로 작용함을 시사하였다.

The educational enthusiasm of Korean parents is considered to be a factor influencing children, but the empirical research on this is insufficient. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of parents' educational enthusiasm on school adjustment of children and the mediating effect of self-esteem. To achieve the purpose of the study, the 9th Korean Children Panel was analyzed by SPSS 22.0 program. The analysis method was reliability coefficient calculation, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows: First, mother's educational enthusiasm and fathers' educational enthusiasm have a positive correlation with school adjustment and self-esteem. Second, mother's educational enthusiasm and father's educational enthusiasm had a mediating effect of self-esteem in the relationship of school adjustment. This study suggests that the children’s self-esteem acts as an important mediator in the relationship between educational enthusiasm of parents and school adaptation of children.
