Abstract
The purpose of the study was to explore the experience of mother burnout in order to assist in recovery and prevention. Participants included 30 mothers who having children. Open ended questionnaire’s data was analyzed by the consensual qualitative research method. The question was ‘Have you ever have experienced the exhaustion while raising a child?’ ‘Experienced exhaustion due to what?’ and ‘What method did you use? in order to overcome the out’ Results revealed 3 domain, 13 sub-domains, and 31 categories. The domains and sub-domains included three main ideas: causes of burnout, consequences of burnout, and factors facilitating burnout recovery. First, the cause of burnout has resulted in four categories of the overload of parenting and the dual of work-parenting, child temperament, A shortage of preparations as a parent, family difference about view on childbearing. Second, difficulties of emotion regulation, motive fall about nurture, efficacy decrease as parent, health problem resulted from burnout. Three, Factors facilitating recovery from burnout was four categories; voluntary action about burnout situation, emotional support from others and effort, individual’s internal change, satisfaction through substitute resources.
