맘충 호명에 대한 담론 분석: 기사 분석을 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 혐오 정서, 혐오를 담은 호명이 사회적 문제로 대두된 현 사회 속에서 맘충 호명에 대한 기사 분석을 통해 맘충 관련 담론이 형성되고 실천되는 현상을 분석하였다. 이러한 분석을 통해 온라인 공간의 논쟁을 넘어 일부 젊은 엄마들을 향한 혐오적 호명이 어떻게 전달되고, 영향력을 미치는지, 여기에 관련된 담론기제는 무엇인지 논하고자 하였다. 분석을 위해 맘충 호명 관련 기사를 한국언론진흥재단 기사통합검색시스템과 네이버 뉴스검색을 통해 검색, 선정하였다. 선정된 기사는 Fairclough의 비판적 담론분석법(Critical Discourse Analysis) 방법과 과정에 따라 텍스트 분석과 담론분석, 사회적 분석 과정을 거쳤다. 본 연구결과 첫째, 기사는 단순 이슈보도 형태로 가장 많이 전달되어 논란을 확대, 재생산되는 양상을 보였다. 둘째, 기사에서 다뤄진 주요 담론 주제는 맘충이라는 신조어 정의, 혐오 표현, 사회적 이슈로 확산, 이슈의 목격자, 가해・피해 논란이었다. 셋째, 맘충 호명은 그 대상이 광범위해지고 있는 양상을 보이고 있음에도 혐오 담론, 젠더 담론 등 거대 담론이 확대되는 추세에 비해 대안 담론으로 확장되지 못해 이에 대한 대안적 담론이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

This study analyzed the phenomenon of Mamchoong-related discourse being formed and practiced through the analysis of articles on Mamchoong in society where the names of abomination, emotion and disgust, emerged as social problems. Through this analysis, we wanted to discuss how the hateful call for some young mothers is conveyed, influential and what the discourse is about. For analysis, we searched and selected articles related to the Mamchoong through the Integrated Search System of the Korea Press Promotion Foundation and Naver News Search. The selected article underwent text analysis, discourse analysis and social analysis according to the method and process of Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis. The results of the analysis are as follows: First of all, the article is reported in the form of a simple issue report, expanding controversy and reproducing. Second, the main topics discussed in the article were the definition of Mamchoong, the expression of disgust, the spread to social issues, the eyewitness of issues, the controversy of harm and damage. Third, while Mamchoong is showing signs of broadening its scope, it is found that alternative discussions are needed because it does not extend to alternative discussions, such as hate discourse and Gender discourse.
