- Abstract
- This case was performed to support inattentive and impulsive children also had a problem of child-parent relationship. The children who participated in the study were a 4th grade male elementary school student having problem of inattention and impulsivity and his mother involved in this study were having the child-parent relationship problem. The problems in emotion and human relationship due to the repeated negative reaction and frustration was observed in the children. In addition, the researchers could observe complain of the mother about severe stress and frustration followed by caring the children and the troubles in the parent-child relationship. Thus, the researcher had performed 52 sessions of Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) and 10 sessions of Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT). The changes followed the progress of the play therapy was collected and analyzed qualitatively. To inform the results briefly, the changes in the emotional function of the children, caring stress of the mother, and the child-parent relationship were observed. As a result of this study, the author confirmed the CCPT and CPRT has potential for support the the inattentive and impulsive children to recovery emotional function and the parents to reduce caring stress although the lack of number of cases.
