dc.description.abstract | 이 연구에서는 신자유주의적 제도주의의 관점을 통해 미중 기후변화 협력의 동인과 진전 양상을 분석하고 전망을 제시했다. 신자유주의적 제도주의의 관점에서 볼 때 협력이 진전될 수 있었던 이유는 양국이 상호 이익을 공유하고, 미중 전략 및 경제 대화(S&ED)라는 제도적 기제가 협력을 촉진했기 때문이다. 양국은 협력을 통해 에너지 안보 보장과 자연재해 경감, 신성장 동력 확보와 같은 상호이익을 얻기를 기대했다. 한편 S&ED는 양국이 공통된 입장을 확인하고, 정보 및 의견을 공유하는 장으로서 기능했다. 최근 미국의 파리협정 탈퇴 선언으로 당분간 양국 협력 기조가 약해질 전망이나, 트럼프 정부가 국내외 여론을 의식해 극단적 행보를 오래 지속하지는 못할 것으로 예상되며, 중국은 환경문제에 대한 경각심으로 기후변화 대응 기조를 유지할 것으로 예상되는 바, 장기적으로 양국 협력의 기조는 지속될 것으로 전망된다. | - |
