Abstract
The aim of this research was to seek effective counselling intervention measures to prevent dusk divorce and to support elderly divorced women in overcoming difficulties while making decisions about divorce. A total of 18 sessions of data were collected from November 2012 to March 2013 for this research. Also, we have used an analyzing method of Miles and Huberman(1994) in order to demonstrate this research. It was found that when elderly women divorce, they initially have increased negative feelings towards their husband, are frustrated about unsolved conflicts among their original family members, and have more conflicts with their children. Moreover, it was found that they experienced constant financial troubles and had difficulty in building relationships with people. However, having these consultations allowed them to forgive others, learn from the past, start to understand their family, and have a more positive view of life. This research was conducted to support divorced women and to find a way to provide beneficial counselling regarding a subject that has not been addressed sufficiently in past researches.
