The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of orthodontic treatment services and consumer expectations on the satisfaction of customers using orthodontic treatment services. For this purpose, we divided the attributes of orthodontic treatment services into medical expertise, service, reputation, and price, and divided consumer expectation into functional expectation and aesthetic expectation and examined the effect of consumer expectation on satisfaction of orthodontic treatment service. In this study, we conducted an online survey of 20-50 customers who have experienced orthodontic treatment services. SPSS 19.0 was used to analyze the data. The frequency, description, and correlation of the variables were analyzed, and a multiple-regression analysis was conducted to evaluate the results. The results of this study are as follows: First, attributes of orthodontic treatment that consumers perceived importantly about orthodontic treatment are classified into expert, service, reputation, and price. However, the perception of each attribute in gender is different, and it is in line with the result of the sociocultural difference in the medical service presented in the previous study. Second, satisfaction of orthodontic treatment can be enhanced through consumer expectations. The effect of orthodontic treatment attributes and satisfaction on the mechanism of consumer expectation was confirmed. This study will help to understand differentiated orthodontic treatment services by examining the effects of dental orthodontic treatment service and customer expectation on dental orthodontic treatment service satisfaction.
