초록

The discussions regarding Jian Goguryeo Monument have been diverse so far, but there are still aspects that need further clarification. One example is the conflicting opinions regarding the correct way of deciphering letters. To understand the history of Goguryeo through the Jian Goguryeo Monument, the inscriptions must be meticulously deciphered first. Therefore, this article attempted to integrate previous perspectives for decipherment, correlation, and interpretation. Recently, the Jian Goguryeo Monument has received less attention than before in academia. One of the reasons is that it is difficult to conduct in-depth scholarly investigations in the present situation. However, considering the historical significance of Jian Goguryeo Monument, this kind of research needs to be continued.
