초록
This study was conducted to develop core design elements that should be considered in a residentialenvironment where not only humans but also companion animals coexist, in response to the growing demanddriven by the increasing number of such households. To this end, through literature review, analysis of previousstudies, and case studies, this study proposes the following four core elements and nine detailed elements asdesign elements for interaction between humans and companion animals. First, for safety, it is advisable to blockharmful substances and risk factors, apply anti-slip flooring, and enhance indoor and outdoor movement safety. Second, for convenience, considerations can be made to design hygienic toilet spaces, optimize food and watersupply systems, and create resting spaces exclusively for pets. Third, for psychological comfort, efforts can focuson utilizing natural lighting, designing noise reduction and stress relief, and encouraging regular activity. Fourth, for environmental stimulation and activity, it is worth considering strengthening indoor and outdoorconnectivity and providing various sensory stimulation.
