This study aims to seek a new style of floral art and design in association with kineticism that introduces a kinetic factor to art, under the influences of state-of-the-art media and science advancement in the 20th century. Kinetic art, which brings in four-dimensional time and space to plastic art, has significance in view of art history. Based on its concept, this study tries to look into distinctions of plastic art of kinetic fashion that invites actual movements to another form; dress and ornaments. It will give information how kinetic art is applied to dress and ornaments. Based on it, this study has analyzed cases of introducing kinetic factors in floral art and design, in connection with kinetic fashion. The experimental trial showed that floral art and design also has dynamic movement expression through giving emphasis on direction, rhythm and forms. Visually kinetic phenomena by using lines, colors and lights are also found. In this study, I suggest expansion of material in order to perfect kinetic factors. Given that floral art and design can represent the spirit of the times in a various and profound way, in association with other artistic styles that lead the times, floral artists are compelled to struggle to portray the spirit of the times looking deep inward and feeling more convinced of their work. They should be aware that professional activities are necessary to create a wide variety of expression styles, and that they play a great part in creating a new value most suitable to contemporary times through actively engaged in interpreting values and souls of extant styles of expression. In this end, theoretical system should precede. Amid repetitive trials and errors, unreserved artists can recognize their world of art to be broadened and deepened, and can create their original world of art.
