초록
This study examines the growing integration of space and cyber domains in modern warfare through theoretical discussion and an analysis of the Russia–Ukraine war. Developments in space deterrence and cyber deterrence theories show a common shift toward resilience-based deterrence that emphasizes surveillance, redundancy, and rapid recovery. The Russia–Ukraine war also demonstrated that the military use of commercial space capabilities can expand operational effectiveness while simultaneously increasing cyber vulnerabilities within space systems. Based on these findings, the study argues that South Korea’s national space strategy should be redesigned to address integrated space–cyber threats by expanding protection to commercial space assets and strengthening resilience-based deterrence mechanisms.
