초록

The purpose of this study was to verify the mediating effect of mentalization in the relationship between self-disclosure and post-traumatic growth of people with traumatic experience, and to confirm the moderating effect of positive and negative social reactions in the relationship between self-disclosure and mentalization. In addition, this study aimed to examine whether the impact leading to post-traumatic growth through self-disclosure and mentalization varies depending on the positive and negative social reactions. To this end, an online survey was conducted on adults over the age of 19 (20s to 60s) who had a trauma experience, but whose current level of pain did not fall into the high-risk group. A total of 471 data was statistically analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 26 and PROCESS Macro for SPSS 4.1. The results are as follows: First, as a result of examining the mediating effect, it was confirmed that mentalization had a mediating effect in the relationship between self-disclosure and post-traumatic growth. Second, as a result of examining the moderating effect, it was confirmed that positive social reactions were found to have a moderating effect in the relationship between self-disclosure and mentalization. However, negative social reactions did not have a moderating effect in the relationship between self-disclosure and mentalization. Third, as a result of examining the moderated mediating effect, it was confirmed that positive social reactions were found to have a moderated mediating effect on the mediating effect of mentalization in the relationship between self-disclosure and post-traumatic growth. However, negative social reactions did not moderate the mediating effect on the mediating effect of mentalization in the relationship between self-disclosure and post-traumatic growth. Based on the research findings, the significance and limitations of this study, as well as directions for future research, were presented.
