This study analyzed the characteristics of publication and the research productivity of authors based on articles published in the Journal of Competency Development and Learning Research from 2006 to 2023. The contents of articles published in the journal were analyzed to identify publication trends such as publication methods and trends, and Lotka's law was applied to analyze research productivity. A total of 338 articles published in the Journal of Competency Development and Learning Research were analyzed, focusing on authors, affiliations, and references. The findings of the study are as follows: First. he publication characteristics of articles published in the journal showed that the proportion of joint publications by two or more authors was higher than that of single publications. Second, the affiliations of authors were most often universities, followed by companies and research institutes. Third, the number of sustained authors decreased over time, and many authors tended to publish only one paper and were not active in publishing. Fourth, Lotka's law was applied to analyze research productivity, and it was discovered that a small group of researchers published a large number of papers. Lotka's law was applied in order to analyze research productivity, and it was found that a small number of researchers were responsible for publishing a large number of papers in the journal.
