초록
The goal of this study was to validate of Emotional and Personality Career Difficulties Scale(EPCD; Gati, Saka, Kelly, 2008) for Korean College Students. For this study we adapted the EPCD Scale by Gati et al., and then exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were conducted. First, 53 originally developed by Gati, Saka, Kelly(2008) went through a translation procedure to be adapted prior to data collection. And then, item analysis and exploratory factor analysis were conducted in a 472 College students sample. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, EPCD consisted of 7 factors(37-items, 2 validations items and 1 warm up items excepted) unlike the result of preceding research. The result of reliability, the items shows high chronbach alpha, total internal consistency coefficients(α= .957). Second, confirmatory factor analysis in a 337 College students sample different from subjects recruited for exploratory factor analysis. Using an competing model strategy by testing suggested model against three other competing models. As a result, the 7 categories and three-cluster model(7-3-1) adequately fit the data and the fit of this model was the better than the three competing models. Third, for the external validity, confirmed the correlation with Career Thoughts Inventory, Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Scale, Career Decision Scale. The correlation of Career Thoughts Inventory, Career Decision Scale was verified respectively showing significantly positive correlation and Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Scale showed significantly negative correlation.
