The current study systematically collected and analyzed research articles on digital literacy for the elderly published in Korea from 2013 to August 2024 to examine research trends in this area. By analyzing publication trends, keywords, and topic modeling (LDA), the study identified the overall research trends and key themes in elderly digital literacy research. The analysis of publication trends revealed a sharp increase in the number of articles published since 2020, with the highest concentration of studies in the social sciences. Keyword analysis highlighted “utilization,” “competency,” “education,” “society,” and “information” as the top five keywords based on frequency and TF-IDF degree. Additionally, six main topic keywords were derived through LDA topic modeling, focusing on: “enhancing digital literacy for the elderly,” “digital experiences and perceptions of the elderly,” “digital literacy and elderly life,” “digital literacy and senior consumers,” “elderly digital literacy and activities,” and “elderly digital literacy and health.”
