초록

The purposes of this study are to analyze the structural relationship between policy attitudes and perceived costs on the employment support system for veterans and to discuss the implications. To fulfill the purposes, a survey is conducted on the adults over the age of 20 and the hypotheses are tested. It is analyzed that the affective attitude on the employment support system for veterans has a negative effect on the perceived cost. The affective attitude and perceived cost are analyzed to have a significant influence on the policy acceptance. However, it is found that the cognitive attitude on the employment support system for veterans does not significantly affect the affective attitude, perceived cost, and policy acceptance. Analyzing the mediating effect of perceived cost in the relationship between policy attitude and policy acceptance for the employment support system, it is found that the perceived cost significantly mediates the relationship between affective attitude and policy acceptance. In particular, analyzing a specific indirect effect using a phantom variable, the indirect effect is found to be significant in the path; cognitive attitude → perceived cost → policy acceptance. Based on these findings, this study discusses theoretical and policy implications for improving the policy acceptance on the employment support system for veterans.
