The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of depression on therelationships between difficulties in Emotion Regulation and binge eating. The participants were 671 high school students from the Seoul and Incheon areas. They were assessed with Test of Korea-Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (K-DERS), Center for Epidemiologic study for Depression Scale (CES-D), and Bulimia Test Revised (BULIT-R). The results show that the total score of depressive symptoms and four sub factors worked as a partial mediating effects between difficulties in Emotion Regulation and binge eating. This study was confirmed the partial mediating effect of depression on the relationships between female high school student’s difficulties in Emotion Regulation and binge eating.
