초록

The purpose of this study is to supply fundamental data for health promotion and physical improvement in young female with close examination of association of volume of voluntary walking exercise with bone mineral density(BMD), total cholesterol/high density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio(TC/HDL-C ratio), and C-reactive protein(CRP) level. 31 college female in S women's university were selected for the subject of this study. Weekly average volume of walking exercise by treadmill were calculated for 12 weeks. BMD was measured by automatic BMD measuring device(Sonost 2000) and TC/HDL-C ratio, and CRP were measured by blood sampling before and after this study. Analyses of multiple correlations, analysis of simple linear regression were applied for the statistical analysis using SPSS 12.0. It was found that there is significant correlation between volume walking exercise and BMD, TC/HDL-C ratio in young female(p<0.05). And it was found that there is proportional correlation between BMD and volume walking exercise(r=0.412), and inverse proportional correlation between TC/HDL-C ratio and volume walking exercise(r=-0.519). Based on this study, it can be assumed that high amount of volume walking exercise lead to high BMD and low TC/HDL-C ratio. It is considered systematic study for body composition, physical fitness level of special people as well as general people in the future.
