The purpose of this study is to derive an introduction plan of an accredited department-oriented childcare teacher training system to enhance the professionalism of childcare teachers. In order to derive a reasonable introduction plan, a review of previous studies, a focus group interview(FGI) survey, and a statistical review of the status of childcare teacher qualifications were conducted. The results are as follows. First, various positions existed on the introduction of an accredited department-oriented childcare training system according to the interests of each childcare teacher training institute, which is a result of conducting the FGI through semi-structured questions. Second, in order to introduce the accredited department system, short-term and mid-to-long-term standards and measures were proposed for department names, childcare-related subjects, professors, face-to-face course operation, childcare practice management, teaching liberal arts course completion, and graduation standards. Third, additional necessary institutional plans were proposed to enhance the professionalism of childcare teachers.
