This study was aimed to verify characteristics of responses from DAPR according to emotional labor and job stress of social workers. The research subjects were 202 social workers who were working in public and private fields in 5 locations outside of Seoul and emotional labor, job stress, and DAPR test were conducted. We used higher and lower groups for final data analysis according to emotional labor level and job stress level, and performed independent sample t-test and discriminant analysis. The results of this research can be summarized as follows; First, this study verified the differences in the characteristics of responses to DAPR between high and low emotional labor groups of social workers. The detailed items of the stress area that showed significant results were wind strength, rain and human contact, total score of stress, and the overall discriminatory power was 76.1%. and coping resources area that showed significant results were facial expressions, strokes, total score of coping resources, and the overall discriminatory power was 74.6%. Second, this study confirmed the differences in the characteristics of responses to DAPR between the high and low job stress groups of social workers. The detailed items of the stress area that showed significant results were the strength of the rain, rain and human contact, total score of stress, and the overall discriminatory power was 71.0%. On the other hand, there was no significant difference in the area of coping resources. It is considered that there is a possibility of using DAPR test as a tool to measure emotional labor and job stress of social workers.
