The Purpose of this paper is to review a korean-English dictionary named ‘Minjung Essence Korean-English Dictionary’. The dictionary is a productive and electronic dictionary for English learners. The macro structure of the dictionary was similar to the corresponding paper dictionary. The micro structure consists of Korean entry, English words or phrases, and example sentences in Korean and English. Entries consist words, suffixes and grammatical elements. Derivatives and compounds are listed under their roots. Learners may consult the dictionary to find English expressions corresponding to Korean words. But It is difficult to find exact English words because it usually presents more than one English words for a Korean word. Furthermore, Learners may have difficulty making constructions by consulting it because it does not provide sufficient syntactic information for the English word. However, it is easier to look up words in this electronic dictionary than in paper dictionaries. Nevertheless, It needs more improvement for searching.
