The purpose of the study was to develop and validate the diagnostic instrument for burnout of career-interrupted women who re-enter the labor market. We followed the conventional development process of instrument such as; 1) review of previous theories and literature, 2) design the potential construct, 3) design the initial items of instrument, 4) validate the content validity, 5) conduct preliminary study, and 6) develop the instrument based on initial items. In results, main constructs identified were role conflict, job overload, mal-adaptation of relations, emotional burnout, and work and life conflict. We conducted a pilot study, using developed instrument. We found: 1) the longer woman has career duration, 2) the older their ages are, 3) the lower their academic level is, 4) the closer their major becomes humanities and social sciences, and 5) the smaller the company size is, the higher their burnout level becomes. Based on the results, we suggested the needs of new studies for increasing validity and reliability. In addition, new policies and programs for increasing the employment and sustainability of career-interrupted woman in workplace.
