초록

The purpose of this study was to identify and evaluate the model concerning relations among death acceptance and life satisfaction, and the mediators of self-reflection and search for meaning. Data was collected from 381 adults. SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 22.0 program were used for the study analysis. The collected data were analyzed by the mediating effects verification, as well as descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and structural equation model verification. The study findings are as follows. First, results of the study indicated that the hypothesized model fit the data well. Second, death acceptance did not directly affect life satisfaction. Third, death acceptance and life satisfaction were indirectly affected by self-reflection and search for meaning. This study suggests that the death acceptance can play an important role in increasing the self-reflection and the search for meaning, leading to the life satisfaction of adults. At last, implications and limitations of this study, and directions for future research were discussed.
