This study examined the perceptions on conflicts from distribution industry. We have found that small retailers and large retailers think differently on the conflicts in their relationship management. The win-win methods can be developed only if we can fully understand each group’s perceptions towards big-small business conflicts. The 23 Q statements were drawn from literature reviews and in-depth interviews. Interviews were taken based on 32 P samples of 4 Groups :customers, professional consult, small retailers and large retailers. As the result of the analysis, 4 different types of perceptions were found. The first type recognizes “the regulation of large retail is unnecessary”. The second type understand that “SSM has made distribution conflict more serious.” The third type recognizes “the distribution law is beneficial for small retailers.” The fourth type understands the distribution law as ‘inconvenience’. We expect that this outcome will be utilized for understanding each group’s perception gap and overcoming difficulties in the matured Korean retail industry.
