초록
This study explores the experience of leaving the teaching profession among former private kindergarten teachers in their 20s to seek support measures for their retention. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with four former teachers, and data were analyzed using Giorgi's phenomenological method. The analysis revealed 4 constituents, 9 sub-constituents, and 25 meaning units. Participants experienced 'helplessness in implementing play-centered education,' 'skepticism as an educator,' 'burnout from organizational conflicts and excessive workload,' and 'anxiety regarding professional sustainability.' The first three factors operated simultaneously and cumulatively during employment, rather than sequentially. Ultimately, the awareness of 'anxiety regarding professional sustainability' in their late 20s served as the decisive trigger for their departure. This study highlights that the attrition of teachers in their 20s is not due to personal maladjustment but is an inevitable response to the structural flaws and poor working conditions of the private kindergarten environment.
