초록

Based on the archaeological background research and unearthed oracle scripts, this paper discuss the verifying the nature of Zhougongmiao, an archaeological site(周公廟遺址) of Western Zhou(西周) Dynasty. In other words, oracle scripts, The style of the oracle scripts, and the form of archaeological research would be used to determine the character of Zhougongmiao, an archaeological site as the primary evidence. It is the conclusion I reached with those evidences:1. Oracle scripts from a site, Miaowangcun(廟王村), Shanxi(陝西) were belonging to the top-ranked class. They were used by a sovereign ruler, such as Zhougong(周公). 2. Zhougong, a sovereign ruler, used large oracle bones; and a ruler of Haogou(壕,溝) a site of Shanxi Zhougongmiao area used oracle bones those were smaller than Zhougong's, Because the social rank of ruler of Haogou area was lower than Zhougong. It means a main person of foretell event from Haogou area is not Zhouwang (king of Zhou, 周王). 3. Zhougong had been a sovereign ruler from the beginning to middle years of Wester Zhou in name. Until even after he died, there was still buildings at west site, and oracle strips of Zhougong were preserved (周公) there.. 4. From the beginning to middle year of Western Zhou, there were building at the both east and west sites, and Zhougong had stayed one buliding of the west site. The social class of the owner of east buildings was lower than Zhougong, and he inherited Zhougong's territory later because he was a member of Zhougong's family. By the same reasons proved by the unearthed Zhougongmiao jiaguwen, above, Zhougongimiao, an archaeological site was a feudal village of Zhougong's family.
