초록

This project intends to collect longitudinal data on the developmental trends and features of Korea children from birth to the time before schooling. In addition, data will also be collected longitudinally regarding child-rearing practices, the needs of parents, and the functions and impacts of formal and informal support for child-rearing. The project aims to promote our understandings of effective support methods for child-rearing, to foster futher reasearch in the field, and to provide basic data for early childhood education and care policy development. In 2007, two pilot studies, based on a panel survey model developed in 2006, will be undertaken in order to determine sampling methods and review checklists. The main investigation will be conducted in 2008.
