The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning of all prospective entrepreneurs in their 30s and 40s who are preparing to start a restaurant franchise store or a restaurant franchise company through stories of their experiences in the process of starting a business, to help them in the overall start-up preparation and operation process through experience exploration, and to present meaningful start-up directions to them. To this end, this study attempted to provide direct help to prospective entrepreneurs in line with the ever-changing trend by selecting and organizing entrepreneurs whose operating period has been from around 10 years to 1 year and conducting in-depth interviews. This study conducted a narrative inquiry using the narrative analysis procedure and method of Clandininin & Connelly (2000). Through active and active interviews of the study participants, a rich collection of experiences in the process of starting a restaurant franchise entrepreneur suitable for the purpose of this study was made, and in order not to exclude the fieldality, it was intended to convey it in a narrative manner without overly compressing or implying it. Through the experience of the study participants, in-depth stories were presented about the life before the start of the business, the preparation and operation process of the start-up, and the meaning of each founder's business. The results of this study are a new direction of study called narrative exploration of the entrepreneur's experience in the start-up process, and also have implications for suggesting different directions for qualitative research.
