보육기관 방문 놀이치료에서의 치료사 경험에 관한 질적 연구: 포커스 그룹 인터뷰(FGI)를 중심으로

Play therapy provided in childcare centers is a therapeutic intervention delivered within children's everyday environments, and it offers a clinical context and therapeutic experience distinct from clinic-based play therapy. This study explored therapists' experiences of providing play therapy in childcare centers and examined the characteristics and significance of this practice. Focus group interviews (FGIs) were conducted with 10 play therapists who had experience providing play therapy in childcare centers, and the data were analyzed using the constant comparative method. The findings revealed that despite various structural constraints, therapists observed positive changes in children through therapeutic relationships. They also developed a deeper understanding of children's everyday lives and served as mediators in facilitating collaboration among parents, teachers, and therapists. In addition, understanding the organizational context of childcare centers and establishing collaborative communication systems were identified as essential for the effective implementation of play therapy. This study provides an in-depth understanding of therapists' experiences and the practical characteristics of play therapy in these settings. The findings offer foundational evidence for developing practice guidelines and supporting the effective and sustainable implementation of play therapy in childcare centers.
