Meaningful negative relation among multiple role conflict and the supervisor's support and spousal support was also observed. Second, supervisor's support and spousal support moderate the relation between multiple role conflict and burnout. Third, ‘evaluative support of supervisor’ had moderating effect. Fourth, ‘sharing nurturing and educating children’, ‘helps with household matters’, ‘supports with difficulties’ moderate the relation between multiple role conflict and burnout. The results suggest the necessity for differential social intervention strategies in counseling and the importance of active interaction of counselors and social support system. It also means that counselor have to maintain equilibrium between taking care of others and taking care of oneself. Implications and limitations of the current findings were discussed.
