Sports Character Evaluation Model for School Physical Education: Focusing on the Interaction Effect with the Teacher applying the Multi-level Model

The purpose of this study was to investigate the interaction effect with physical education teachers by applying a multi-level model that present a youth sports character evaluation plan in the physical education class. For this purpose, 50 physical education teachers and 999 students taking physical education teacher classes were collected. For data processing, the GAMLj module of jmovi 2.0 was utilized, and the analysis model was constructed through a 2-level multi-level model. The results of this study were as follows. First, it was found that the student's sports character score was partially influential by the teacher. Secondly, it was found that the higher the general functional level of physical education that students judge by themselves, the more positively the individual's sports character was evaluated. Third, it was found that the higher the student's trust in the PE teacher, the more positively the individual's sports character was evaluated. Fourth, it was found that the students' physical function and trust in the PE teacher had a positive effect on the student's sports character by interacting with the physical education teacher's emphasis on character development. Through this research, it was expected to provide not only the diffusion and activation of the sympathy zone for "physical activity-chacater education" in school physical education, but also the framework of character evaluation measures for other subjects and activities.
