초록
The purpose of this study was to compare the sleep and health related physical fitness according to physical activity levels in female university students. In order to complete this study, 227 female college students were collected for measuring of using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire(IPAQ) physical activity measured, evaluated the sleep hours and sleep quality through the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). They were measured %fat, LbM(lean body mass), WHR(waist-hip ratio), muscle strength, muscle endurance, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. Data were analyzed ANOVA with using SPSS version 12.0. The subjects were consisted of 3 groups of female university students[Group A; low physical activity level(n=53) Group B; middle physical activity level(n=108), Group C; high physical activity level(n=66)]. The amount of physical activities were influenced sleep hours(p<.001 ; B<A,C), sleep quality(p<.001 ; B<A,C), %fat(p<.001 ; A,B>C), LBM(p<.001 ; A,B<C), WHR(p<.001 ; C<B,A), muscle strength(p<.001 ; C<B,A), muscle endurance(p<.05 ; C,B>A), flexibility(p<.001; C,B>A), and cardiovascular endurance(p<.001 ; C<B,A). Therefore, maintaining moderate intensity’ physical activity is positive impact on sleep and health related fitness, improving female college students’ quality of life.
