There is an increase in foreign tourists who visit Korea for the purpose of beauty tour. Specifically, Japanese tourists are largest in number, and the number of Japanese tourists who make use of Korean esthetic shops is gradually on the rise. The purpose of this study was to examine the use of Korean esthetic shops among female Japanese tourists and their satisfaction level with the quality of service. The subjects in this study were 409 female Japanese tourists who ever used Korean esthetic shops. As a result of analyzing the satisfaction level of the female Japanese tourists with the quality of Korean esthetic service, they expressed the best satisfaction at skills, followed by policy-related service, employee-related service and material service. However the female Japanese tourists pointed out the reception attitude of estheticians as what should be improved the most in Korean esthetic shops. Lately, the findings of the study on their use of Korean esthetic shops and satisfaction with the quality of service are expected to be of use for having a better understanding of customer orientation and for the development of service and marketing strategies tailored to consumer taste.
