초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between policy attitude and trust in government. To this end, the hypotheses regarding the relationship between policy understanding, perceived policy usefulness, trust in government, and policy support are established using the employment support system for veterans and their bereaved families. The hypotheses are tested through Structural Equation Modeling Analysis. A survey was conducted on 441 adults over the age of 20 nationwide. The results show that policy understanding and perceived policy usefulness have a significant positive effect on trust in government, and that perceived policy usefulness and trust in government significant positively affect policy support. It is found that the understanding of the policy on the employment support system do not have a significant effect on the perceived usefulness of the policy. It is also indicated that in the relationship between policy understanding and policy support for the employment support system, the indirect path mediated by perceived usefulness as a medium is not significant, whereas the indirect path mediated by trust in government is significant. Based on the results, this study discusses the theoretical implications of the relationship between policy attitudes and trust in government, and suggests policy implications for securing policy support for the employment support system
